Features of the gift card

• It is a bearer card, traded in at points of sale of CasaIdeas. The customer may transfer the card once activated without restrictions, obliging the local representative to accept it from whoever presents it.

• It can be charged by a variable amount of money. The amounts are multiples of 5 dollars and range from $ 5 to $ 100.

•From the time of purchase at Casa Ideas, the amount charged to the gift card can be used partially or in whole.

• The card can be charged only once. The card expires when the total amount charged is used. It cannot be recharged.

The plastic card has a magnetic stripe that stores the card number. It is not possible to type this number in the POS of the store thus providing security to the customer in its use. If the magnetic stripe on the gift card is damaged, the customer cannot use it as a means of payment (gift card exchange).

• The gift card is activated at the time of purchase; the customer cannot use the card unless it is activated. The card does not have an amount associated with it until its activation.

• The customer can purchase a gift card with the following forms of payment:

• Cash
• Credit Card
• Debit card

• Loss, damage, theft, and unauthorized use of the Gift Card are the responsibility and risk of the customer or bearer, regardless of whether they are the same or different people.

• The Gift Card can only be used to pay for all or part of the purchase price of goods sold by CasaIdeas.

• Loss, damage, theft and unauthorized use under any circumstances and for any reason, does not allow for blocking or replacing it.

• The Gift Card is not refundable or redeemable for cash.

• The bearer of the Gift Card may not apply for any substitute or replacement.

• In case of damage such that the card is unable to be read by the systems used by stores, the gift card will expire.

• The payment made with the gift card can be combined with any other form of payment.

• The frequent customer accumulates points when he purchases the gift card, but does not accumulate points by using or paying with the card.

• In purchasing a Gift Card, the frequent customer is not entitled to the discounts of this program.

• The use of Gift Card cannot be combined with other promotions or offers and / or benefits of frequent customer program of Casa Ideas.

• The discount prices offered by the store are valid using this form of payment.

• The card bearer can pay for a single purchase using more than one gift card.

• The store cannot accept payment via gift card if the operative system of the cashier is not working. The customer will be informed when the system can rectify the transaction. This is supported by norms of the gift cards.

• If the sale is for an amount less than the amount available on the gift card, the balance can be used by the client on the next purchase. The customer cannot ask for cash back when purchasing using the gift card.

• The use of Gift Card allows the return of the goods acquired through its use. The return will be subject to the procedures and conditions of return set by Casa Ideas. In this case, the money corresponding to the value of the returned product will not be returned to the Gift Card, rather a credit note will be issued for the amount of the goods returned which can be used to purchase other Casa Ideas products. In no case will there be refunds or credit or charge to the Gift Card, except if the Customer has not used the Gift card and the amount at point of activation remains intact. In this case, the customer may request a C&I reimbursement of the amount used to purchase the Gift Card, upon return of the same, in conjunction with the presentation of receipt of purchase given by the store cashier at the time of purchase.

Distribution of cards

Cards do not have an amount associated therefore are not considered of value to the company. At the time of sale, the card does have value.

Supplies Area should provide the stores with the plastic gift cards. The application process is that which is currently used in stores.

Cards in stores

The way of displaying the cards in the stores will be defined by Corporate Matriz Ideas S.A: and will be communicated to each country.

The cashiers should have a reasonable quantity of cards available for sale at the point of sale. These cards do not need to be securely stored given that they have no value for the store until they have been sold to the customer and charged.
